Uvicka Bristol

Research Officer

Uvicka is currently a Research Officer within the James Michel Blue Economy Research Institute (BERI). She is part of a dynamic team which is actively coordinating research synergies between different sectors. In partnership with the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), the team is focusing on developing a managed network of environmental research in the Western Indian Ocean.

Uvicka has completed her bachelor’s degree with Honours in Environmental Science with the University of Seychelles, where she specialized in Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience. As part of her specialization, she did her research on the ‘Evaluation of coastal management policies in relation to the adaptation of climate change’. With her ever-growing interest in the protection and conservation of the environment, she has been involved in fieldwork research with organisations such as the Global Vision International and Green Island Foundation.
